Der Beitrag zu Hongkong untersucht die verschiedenen Aspekte dieses Wandels, die einzelnen Globalstadtfunktionen und vor allem die sozialen und sozialräumlichen Veränderungen.

  Abstract
  
The edited volume on "Globalisation and the Chinese City" examines the consequences of the globalisation on selected Chinese cities. The chapter on Hong Kong discusses the impact on economic and social spatial patterns in Hong Kong, the individual global city functions and especially the social implications such as a rising income gap and the influx of foreign residents to the city.
