This Radialene belongs to ring systems, starting from the carbon three ring, which can be very well modelled by the Kimball Program. The 5-ring radialene is calculated to have a total energy of -381.7273 hartree in 20" and the same structure as the ab initio Gaussian94W result (-384.2232533 with RHF/6-31G in 121" or with RHF/STO-3G -379.672922 hartrees in 39", both with Kimball geometry for a start ).
