How I got my name.

      My parents have chosen Samuel Lucas as my name.

   Samuel is Hebrew and means 'heard by God'  Lucas is Latin meaning' desendant from lucania' 

    Well I don't think they gave me those names because of their meaning.I think they simply like the sound and pronunciation of it.They wanted a name which sounds alright in German and English and one which can't be shortened to some ridiculous nickname.

    I'm very happy they didn't give me a name like Maximilian,Udo,Urs,Ruediger,Baldwin,Detlef,Edelbert,or Theofried,Rasmus,Dick or Mortimer.

Now people can call me Sammy or Sam which is both alright. But please never call me Saemmeli. I hate it.

       If I would have been a girl my name would have been   Anita Natasha
