Pat was to ride his Low Rider at the Wednesday Night Rides through the lovely Eau Claire surrounding, while I rode the Road King. Some forty riders gathered at the outskirts of Eau Claire and rode in two or more groups for about one hour to a restaurant for dinner. I took this idea back with me and organized something similar with my Swiss friends.
I
spent a weekend on Pat's Road King at riders Mekka, Milwaukee. Took pictures
at West Juneau Avenue and followed the Power Train Tour at West Capitol Drive,
Wauwatosa. The day was closed with ‚The Judds'. Through southern Wisconsin I
rode back to Eau Claire. Blackhawk and The Kinleys performed a great show at
Racine County Fair. The Wednesday night ride in the next week became almost
a disaster. After dinner, Pat wasn't able to get the bike run. I pushed it and
on my last breath it started. We charged the battery. But two or more cells
were short circuited. Before we headed for Sturgis, a new battery was mounted.
