Swiss Air Force Me-109G

This is my representation of a Swiss Air Force Me-109G soon after delivery. This model has been a joy to build, and was in essence finished in little more than a weekend. As I have not built any Luftwaffe aircraft in a long, long time, I mixed Gunze RAF colours to approximate those which would have been used by the Swiss, who did not use RLM colours either. Decals were obtained from the Topkit range, which are printed on an ALPS and are of excellent quality, good density and very thin, settling down very well despite their enormous size. They are available from www.Modellshop.ch. Note that these are only suited to early Swiss Me-109 markings. I am really looking forward to further releases of the new Hasegawa 109 range, especially those with the tall tail and Erla hood, so that I can build a Swiss Me-109 with the red-white neutrality stripes.
