The Original Pilot / Swingers / My Father's Office / Angel
VHS Leisure View Video LVV 493
A feature length video of the Emmy Award-Winning TV Series.
It's summer 1968 and across America the barbeques are sizzling in the backyards of suburbia. The time is one of innocence and discovery for Kevin Arnold, the twelve year old boy whose loves (girlfriend Winnie), life (RFK Junior High) and ambitions (to be accepted as one of the in-crowd) are captured in this feature length story from the award winning T.V. series. The youngest of three, Kevin loves his suburban mom, is bewildered by Karen (his rebellious hippy sister), lives in awe of his tough dad and in fear of his older brother Wayne whose one aim in life, it seems, is to show him up in front of his best friends Paul and Winnie. The Wonder Years is a beautiful, funny and often moving story of adolescence - the embarassment at the hands of his family, that amazing first kiss, the struggle to keep 'in with the in-crowd' - all are captured in this superb video, set against a background of 60's smash hits and the turmoil of the times.

It should be possible to buy this tape in Great Britain. You can also order it at blackstar.co.uk or avides.com (a German online video store).
