After seeing Riverdance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, at the age of 9, I developed a great passion for the Irish culture, especially its beautiful music and distinct style of dance. When I took up Irish dancing in 1999, I decided to put my heart and soul into this special hobby. I love everything Irish dancing has to offer: exercise, meeting friends (my boyfriend;-), travelling, the fun side of performing and especially the feiseanna! To me, going to a feis is a great treat after working hard in class and a good opportunity to see places and meet new friends from all over the world. And being successful, is a great feeling of achievement. Apart from dancing I passed my A-levels and since 2005 I'm studying to be a primary school teacher at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Zurich.
