and then alone. Made some lever watches with one tooth escapement wheel to design of Chas, MacDowell.
Made clock for Royal Exchange, and received order for Westminster (Big Ben) clock, which was completed by his stepson
Frederick. Obtained prize for chronmeter in 1829. Wrote several pamphlets on chronometers.
