Talent show - Ithaca, New York, with Phil Maynes on Guitar
and Peter Minotti on Drums. Our bass-player, Aaron Corina committed
suicide
some years later. The name of the band was "Captain Courageous and the
Explorer", a name picked by our senior musician, an awesome guitarist,
Phil (18). I "was just 17".
This photo was printed in the 19xx+1 year book because the show was
towards
the end of the school year and too late for inclusion in the 19xx
yearbook.
"Talent Show - Well, on the way to becoming another IHS tradition, the
talent show, sponsored by the Senior Class, was again a resounding
success.
The 19xx show featured magicians, singers, rock bands and comedy
acts....
For the participants the show was fun; for the audience great
entertainment,
and for the Senior Class a source of much needed revenue.
`
How can I not remember! That concert in the IHS talent show
was
a serious
adrenaline rush. I played a number of gigs in
subsequent
years, but that
was a serious first show(s). What a gas.
Anyway, caught the photo on your website, which is pretty
spectacular
btw.
I guess you've been playing a bit since IHS.. the guitar clips sound
amazing.
...
Anyway, been away from town alot. So sorry about the delay
in contact.
I'll try calling you soon as well.
Keep Rockin'

-------------------
Still rockin' out the Beatles tunes Reza? I was just
jammin'
with a good
friend the other day. It's been a long time, though. He's
only played
Guitar for only about a year now..but it was still pretty
cool.
Just wish
the screaming hordes of IHS teenage girls were there...
later..
(Pete)
