	NOTE: THE FOLLOWING TEXTS AND PHOTOS ARE NOT BY REZA GANJAVI BUT BY A FRIEND WHO WISHED TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS. My trip in Winter of 2005 took me to Tehran, Gheshm (largest Island in Persian Gulf), Bandar Abas (Largest Port at the Persian Gulf) and Shiraz. Here are some images from my trip that I want to Share with you. Here to the left you see a shot of Bam-e-Tehran, or Roof of Tehran, looking from the North of the City to the South.
I experienced a couple of snow storms in Tehran. Northern districts of the city closed the schools for a few days.
	An airplace window shot flying from Tehran to Shiraz, overlooking eastern Zagros mountains.
As I got to Shiraz, temperatures were much milder. Here is a shot of Baghe Eram, the residence of a local nobleman, which is now a historical site.

These shots were taken from the interior courtyard of Shah's mosque in Shiraz (Masjede Shah). They still refer to it by the old name. A very serene environment.
	Bird's eye view of Shiraz in winter. Shiraz, together with Isfahan and Mashhad, are undergoing major construction for their subway system.
Next stop Gheshm Island. The temperatures were good enough to wear a t-shirt. This was my first glimpse at the Persian Gulf. Here you can see primitive fisherman's net, and the opportunistic birds waiting for an easy catch.
	There were many types of exotic fish at the Gheshm Island market. I thought these fish belonged in an aquarium, as opposed to a hot oven.
Exotic breakfast at Homa Hotel. Note, the fruit on the bottom is a sweet lemon.... a perfect start of the day.
	Mangrove forest in Gheshm Island. Below you see two shots of local Bandar Abbas markets. The one on the right is the "poor man's" market, and the one on the left is the regular fish market by the gulf.

Anywhere in Bandar Abbas you can get a glimpse of the "crazy mountain, or Kuhe divane" surrounding the city. We were invited to a lemon grove for picnic and fresh fish BBQ.
	Finally myself and a friend who was visiting Tehran at the same time.
