This is my first CD review,
but I ran into this gem of a CD at a friend's house and was taken by its
comforting beauty. I felt this CD needed to be heard by more people. I owe this
review to both those contemplating buying this CD and Reza Ganjavi who
delivered this delightful work. I am not a student of classical guitar, but,
neither am I a neophite. This is unlike any other compilation of guitar pieces
that I have heard. The pieces seem to flow into each other, and much too soon,
the CD has ended. I have not been exposed to these pieces before, but they left
me wanting more.
I was able to find Ganjavi's
second CD "Dancing Hands". The music was somewhat different, being
more familiar to me with arrangements that included a variety of accompanying
instruments, but was equally enchanting. It is a great complement to "In
Friendship".
Thank you Mr. Ganjavi, I am
waiting for more!
Matt L.
