Not everyone can make the Thursday training before a game and we might want to make it easier for players to know when to show up for games (especially away games). They were then driven all over the paddock by a much bigger Zürich side. Final score 49 - 10 (both Basel tries scored by the Zürich players). The First team only had 16 guys turn up for their game against Alba, and were desperately in need of some high quality substitutes, as a number of injured players had to stay on the field due to lack of reserves. Maybe we should rethink the concept....perhaps one full first team (i.e 22 players)integrating the upcoming younger guys into a team where they are can be schooled and protected by bigger more experienced players. see the RC Zürich website for their match report... Unforunately, they did not fair so well on Sunday in the French league against Selestat and that loss means that the season in France is over as we did not make the play-offs.
