Even more Pictures of Mauritius

This page might load slowly because of the quite huge pictures. It contains pictures of some hotel buildings and some additional information about the hotel La Pirogue.

This is the place where I stayed at La Pirogue. It's designed for up to four people (two on the left and two on the right side, with a seperate entry and one bathroom for each side). The rooms are equipped with air conditioning. There is a phone and a TV in every room, too.

This is another view of the hotel area. These pathways are easy to follow and will guide you to the La Pirogue lobby or to the beach.

The hotel area is covered with palm trees. You can see the open see through the palm trees, if your hut does reside near the beach. There is not always blue sky at Mauritius. But even if there are clouds in the sky, it's a really nice place to be.

This is another picture of the really nice park at the hotel area. This wood construction on the lower left side is a wooden bridge. Below there is a little artificial lake. Be advised, there are frogs there. And they are quite active at night, at least in September, the time I stayed there. My room was not near this area. I could not hear the frogs while the door was closed.

Another picture of the hotel area with lovely palm trees. You can reside under a palm tree if the sun is too hot for you.

This picture was taken in front of the main building, where you can find the hotel lobby, the hotel souvenir shop, the breakfast and the dining area. If you love tea, then don't miss to try this one: Thé citronelle. It's very tasty and from the day I've found out, I ordered it all of the time.

Another view of the main building. It's round shaped. The upper part contains the Casino, where you can play Black Jack and Roulette. Pretty cool, hu? You'll get a free 100 rupees coupon to try your luck (I did it and I won another 100). In front of the building, you can see the hotel's pool. It's not a very large pool, but if you want to try out the even larger pool at the near by resided Sugar Beach hotel, you can do this anytime (the two hotel complexes do belong to the same company and do share the same sporting activities).

Another sunset with some clouds. I love sunsets at Mauritius :-).
