Visit to Orvieto, which stands on a hill and hides in it's dephts hundreds of cellars, eighty pits and many caverns digged in the volcanic rocks, since the ages of the Etruscans, 3000 years ago:

The town, known for its wines, has cellars under each house, digged centuries ago; some of them are too wet to be still used; see the mushrooms growing on a wooden cask for decades:
