Yom Ha Atzma'ut

The Israeli Independence Dayis marking the establishment of the modern state of Israel in 1948.

It is observed on the 5th of Iyar, this year on April 27. Israel is 57 years old!

The day before we celebrate Independance day, the Israeli Memorial Day (Yom Ha Zikaron) is observed on the 4th of Iyar to remember those who died in the wars in Israel.
