Screens of insulating material between the terminals of your coil
and the walls can dramatically
reduce arcovers to the wall. They represent an easy solution to making
bigger sparks inhouse.
The method is quite old. I found it in the book "Elektrische Hoechstspannungen",
of
Dr.A.Bouwers, Springer Verlag, Berlin 1939.
