The following pages are dedicated to the history of my ancestors' land and people, which definitively settled down in Moesia and Thracia in AD 679. It's time to revisit an important part of an ancient story that is usually misunderstood or arbitrarily deformed by scholars in the general history outlines found in encyclopaedias or manuals.
Le pagine seguenti sono dedicate alla riscoperta della storia antica dei miei avi e del popolo che si stabilì definitivamente in Mesia e Tracia nell'AD 679. E`giunta l'ora di stracciare alcuni luoghi comuni e falsità, frutto di ignoranza e pregiudizio, ancora incorporati nella maggioranza dei manuali e delle enciclopedie storiche.
Le fotografie di queste pagine mostrano reperti provenienti dai siti archeologici di Pliska, Preslav o Madara, centri del primo regno (681-1014 d.C.) dei Bolgari Onogonduri (esattamente WHNDR Boulgar nelle fonti storiche armene) sul territorio dell'attuale Bulgaria: un emblema dello stato medioevale, una colonna celebrativa e la "rosa di Pliska" con rare incisioni in runico. In queste pagine verranno usati solo termini vicini alla pronuncia originale degli antichi, senza alterazioni turco-altaiche o bizantine: quindi Bolgaria invece di Bulgaria, Wakhandur oppure Olokhontor invece di Onogondur che proviene appunto dalla pronuncia errata del etnonimo Wakhandur da parte degli altaici Khazari. The pictures show interesting findings (rare runic inscriptions on a celebrative column and on a kind of seven pointed star) from the first Bulgarian Kingdom (681-1014 AC, sites of the old capitals Preslav and Pliska, and from Madara). Throughout these pages I shall use terms coming from Armenian historical sources which are closer to the ancient Bolgarian language: Wakhandur or Olokhontor Bolgar instead of Onogondur Bulgar, which derives from a Khazar or turco-altaic spelling of this original ethnical terms. The present day Bulgaria was founded by the Wakhandur tribe led by its Khan Asparukh in the years 679-681, following the crossing of the Danube and a decisive victory over the Byzantine Emperor Constantine IV.
