Genau 30 Jahre sind es her, seit der erste JURA-CUP 1973 zur Durchführung gelangte. 30 Jahre, in denen der JURA-CUP sich im internationalen Wettbewerbskalender einen festgeschriebenen Platz geschaffen hat.
Wie stolz waren wir doch damals, als zum ersten Mal Konkurrenten aus unseren Nachbarländern und gar aus England, Holland, Spanien und Ungarn zu uns ins „Schwalbennest“ kamen. Heute ist dieser Ort unter den Fesselfliegern in ganz Europa bekannt.
So haben sich auch diesmal für den 16. JURA-CUP 2003 wieder Modellflugfreunde aus 12 europäischen Nationen gemeldet. Es wird in unserer Region kaum einen Anlass mit grösserer internationaler Beteiligung geben.
Das Bild und die Erinnerungen an unseren Wettbewerb, aber auch an unsere Region und Landschaft, wird dadurch seit Jahrzehnten nach ganz Europa hinausgetragen.
Es ist uns, liebe Teilnehmer und Gäste, auch dieses Jahr wieder eine grosse Freude und Ehre, Sie bei uns am JURA-CUP in Breitenbach/Büsserach begrüssen zu dürfen.
Wir wünschen Ihnen für die Tage vom 30. Mai bis 1. Juni 2003 viel Vergnügen, einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und den Konkurrenten viel Erfolg.

Exactly 30 years ago we held the first ever Jura Cup contest here, way back in 1973 – 30 years in which our contest has become firmly established on the International Control Line Contest Calendar.
How proud we were back then when the first contestants arrived, and not “just” from our neighbouring countries, but with fliers from as far afield as England, Holland, Hungary and Spain all competing together on our “Swallow’s Nest” circle.
With the “Swallow’s Nest” site now one of the most well known Control Line centres in all Europe we’re pleased to see yet another strong list of contestants, this time with fliers from 12 European countries registered. It really is hard to imagine any other aeromodelling contest in this area attracting a larger International contingent, and we’re sure that memories of the contest and scenes from the region will continue to spread out over Europe for decades to come.
It is both a pleasure and an honour to welcome all of you, guests and contestants, to the Jura Cup in Breitenbach/Büsserach once again.
From 30th May until 1st June 2003 we wish you all an enjoyable and pleasant stay, and to all contestants, every success as well.
