Christmas of 2000 and New Year 2001 found the Bassett's in Japan. We went to visit our good friends and see as much of the country as we could in three weeks. It started with our arrival at the Tokyo airport...

Of course, people were tired after the 14 hour flight!

Christmas Eve we all went to Yokohama harbor.

We stayed there until sunset.

For New Year's, we went Kyoto and saw an amazing collection of temples.

Of course, we had to eat. What is that strange dish Lynne is eating?

Our trip would not have been half as nice without our friends and hosts.
