In 1993 Titian was living in a house with a country cat. He thought that it would be a good idea to get another cat so they would play together. The decision about the race was very difficult. Titian went from one place to another, visit lots of places since one day he say a cat that just stroke his sight. I asked the person what race it was and he said: Heilige Birma (Holy Birma). Now Titian new what kind of cat he wanted.

After a few weeks Titian went to a place near St. Gallen to see the kittens they had. As he sat down and talked to the person, among lots of cats, a kitten jumped on his lap: that was Shogun. Titian said: I want to buy this kitten. So began the friendship between Shogun and Titian.

At home Shogun was always where Titian was. Even when he went for walks Shogun was following like a .. dog.

Shogun played also with the other cat but only when they were in the house. While Shogun was afraid to go out, because it was an unknown world, the other cat was continuosly outside. One day, though, it didn't come back anymore so Shogun was the whole day alone in the big house. This was a big phsycological stress and he continuosly must go to the cat doctor. Titian then decided to get another cat for Shogun and a few weeks later Tamina came in the house. Tamina was so afraid of everything that she always hid herself behind the curtains and under the beds. Shogun was very excited about Tamina and tried in all the possible ways to get near to Tamina: mission nearly impossible but not for him. After a few months they accepted each other and the world was again ok.

Shogun is an extreme social cat, as soon as somebody comes, he is interested in this person. He shows himself very cool and he doesn't seems to care if Chantal or Lorenzo misshandles him. He just miaos and wack his tail but stays there. Sometimes he gives the impression that he is over everything. or that he is simply the king. Though Shogun is afraid of any kind of animals. As soon as he sees one, he just runs away. He has also lost his position as chef of all the cats: Jango, Joker and even Tamina hit him sometimes, but he seems not to care about it. A few years before, when Tamina got her kittens, it was a very strange moment for Shogun. He just didn't understand what was going on. These small creatures running around the whole place, looking like cats and under the stressed control of Tamina. After a while he thought it was time to play with them. Unfortunately he wasn't used to that and he was too rough. Now Tamina, Jango and Joker gives him back what he did to them at that time.

Shogun had also a very bad ingury: one night Lorenzo was crying in his bed and Titian got up to see why. In the dark Titian walked into Lorenzo's room as he suddently steped over Shogun's hip, who was sleeping on the floor near the door. The bone of the leg went out of place and the ligaments were broken. The next day Shogun was operated. The head of the bome was cut off and was then placed in the hip junction. In cats the extrematy of the bone grows again once they are cut, making an artificial junction. This was of course a long surgury for Shogun but after one and a half years, he was walking normally. What a bad time for Shogun, hurted from his best friend!

Shogun's colour is a Seal Point. Heilige Birma cats are nearly completetly covered with white except for the face, the lower part of the leg (the paws are white) and the tail. These parts of Shogun are nearly black. The eyes of this race are intensive blue. Technically speaking, Shogun doesn't look at all like a pure race: He is not white where he should be, and vice versa. But he is a great cat which everybody likes and is character is simply wonderfull.
